More “Supergirl” casting news today with two Superman/Supergirl veterans joining the CBS series.
Dean Cain (Superman from “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”) and Helen Slater (Supergirl from the 1984 “Supergirl” flick) will join the show which is based on the characters from the DC Comics.
At this stage we don’t know who the pair will play.
In “Supergirl”, Melissa Benoist stars as Kara Zor-El (aka Supergirl) who comes to Earth after escaping the destruction of Krypton. After many years hiding her abilities, she learns to embrace her powers and joins the ranks of her cousin Superman to become the hero she was meant to be.
Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen), Laura Benanti (Alura Zor-El), Calista Flockhart (Cat Grant), Chyler Leigh (Alexandra “Alex” Danvers) and David Harewood (Hank Henshaw) also star.
