Two-season order & first look at The Walking Dead spinoff

Hit series “The Walking Dead” is getting a companion for at least two seasons.

AMC has announced it has given its “Walking Dead” companion series (yet to be titled) an initial two-season order.

Furthermore, the first still from the new show has been released (check it out below!)

While at this stage we don’t have a title, we do know that the series will be set in LA and will centre on new characters and storylines.

Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey will star.

“We take incredibly seriously the notion of building a satisfying companion series to the number one show on television,” said AMC president Charlie Collier. “From the beginning of ‘The Walking Dead’ on AMC, we’ve been asked questions about what was going on in other parts of the zombie apocalypse, and what it looked like as the world really did ‘turn.’ Through this new series, we’re going to find out.”

Season one will hit AMC late this summer with six, hour-long episodes. Season two will air next year.
