Love, Scotch and Death
Michael C.Hall will reunite with his “Dexter” creator James Manos, Jr for the feature “Love, Scotch and Death”. The film, co-starring Vera Farmiga, tells of a man who “after returning from a stressful vacation, he discovers his parents have died of natural causes together in bed, which forces him to navigate his way past an unsympathetic funeral director, his bewildered children and manic wife, an eccentric priest and some over-sexed neighbors. There is also an arrest for assault and the death of his wife’s beloved dog.” (More…)

Odd Thomas
Patton Oswalt (“Caprica”) will play Oswald “Ozzie” P. Boone in Stephen Sommers’ film adaptation of Dean Koontz’ “Odd Thomas”. Boone is a sculpture designer who makes something for the title character (Anton Yelchin) to wear around his neck. Gugu Mbatha-Raw has also joined the cast. (More…)

Untitled Anna Faris Stalker Comedy
Paramount has snapped up a pitch by “Scary Movie” alum Anna Faris which is being developed as a starring vehicle for the actress. The film, somewhat of a comedic take on the “Single White Female”-style movies, tells of a woman who realizes her roommate is the stalker from hell. (More…)

Big Sur
Michael Polish has cast Jean-Marc Barr, Kate Bosworth and Josh Lucas in his his Jack Kerouac bio (Barr playing the author). The film, which will also feature the likes of Henry Thomas, Radha Mitchell and Anthony Edwards, covers Kerouac’s move from New York to Northern California, as he tries to rediscover himself after badly handling the fame, drugs and decadent lifestyle.
