Warners casting new Batman, Superman for Justice League movie

Had George Miller’s “Justice League” movie seen the light of day it would’ve seen the cinemagoing world introduced to new incarnations of Batman and Superman – all while the existing Batman (in that case, Christian Bale) and Superman (then, Brandon Routh) were still in play. Needless to say, there were sigh’s and sniffels to be heard when Warner Bros made that announcement and ultimately reported they’d be using a couple of then-unknown youngsters – Armie Hammer as Batman; J.D Cotrona as Superman – to play the roles Bale and Routh had owned for the past couple of years.

Now that “Justice League” is getting back up again, one would assume that Warners would be taking a page out of Marvel’s comic and, like the latter’s “Avengers”, bring together all of their superhero ‘stars’ – in other words, the actor’s who’ve been playing the roles for the past couple of years – for the movie. Sadly, it -again- doesn’t seem to be the case.

Asked whether or not his ‘Superman’ Henry Cavill would be participating in 2013’s “Justice League”, “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder said no.

The filmmaker, whose ‘Superman’ reboot is due in theaters a year before this recently-announced “Justice League” movie, tells HeyUGuys that we can pretty much expect an all-new Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman etc for that particular film.

“Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with Superman, what they’ll do with Justice League will be it’s own thing with it’s own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool.”

News that’ll no doubt bring a smile to wannabe-Kal-El Joe Manganiello.

So, what do you think guys? This a good idea, to have different actors playing the roles in “Justice League”? I suppose it could open the door to a potential “Crisis on Two Earths” movie later on?
