Watts’ with Half-Blood Prince?

Casting rumour for next “Potter” emerges

Naomi Watts was recently quoited in the press as saying she’s much more of a Brit than she is an Aussie – now why would she do that? OK, so she was born in the Queen’s country, but she spent most of her upbringing down under. If Mel Gibson – born in New York – can claim himself an Aussie, I’m sure Watts can wear the same ‘Aussie and Proud of it’ T-Shirt too, right? But ya see, there may be more to Watts’ proclamation that she’s more of a tea-sipper than a VB-drinker…. So don’t hold it against her just yet.

LaineyGossip.com reports that Watts may be in the mix to feature in the next “Harry Potter” movie – “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” – as Narcissa Malfoy.

J.K Rowling has a rule that only British actors be cast in the “Potter” series…. Funny then that Watts should come out flying the British flag in recent weeks, ay?

Should Watts convince Rowling of her pommyness, she’d be playing the film’s token bitch. Narcissa is Lucius Malfoy’s wife, Draco’s mother, and Bellatrix Lestrange’s sister – both cousins of Sirius Black.

To be directed by David Yates (“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”), “Half-Blood Prince” will Lord Voldemort’s past, and Harry’s preparations for the final battle amidst emerging romantic relationships.
