Wesley Snipes says he’s met with Marvel about possibly reprising Blade for a fourth film in the series.
“[Blade 4] is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things”, Snipes tells Deadline. “I don’t know where it’s on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air.”
Snipes, who last played Blade in 2004’s “Blade Trinity”, says it’s possible he might even end up in a different Marvel comic book movie.
“I’ve always been a fan of these pieces and adaptations and I’d be nice to be a part of the family again. But if we don’t to a Blade 4 or something else with Marvel, we’ll do something else.”
A meeting doesn’t mean anything, of course, and Marvel may have simply been polite by offering the “Expendables 3” actor a few minutes of their time. On the other hand, maybe the studio are keen to get the original face of the character back. Guess we’ll find out in due course..
