While he continues to hold out for a “Blade” reboot that requires the original lead (unlikely), Wesley Snipes will take on aliens in the Canadian sci-fi action thriller “The Recall”.
Minds Eye Entertainment, in association with Bridgegate Pictures and VMI Worldwide, announced the project today. Mauro Borrelli (”The Ghostmaker”) directs a screenplay by Reggie Keyohara III (”Send In The Clowns”) and Sam Acton. In addition to Snipes, the movie stars RJ Mitte (“Breaking Bad”), Jedidiah Goodacre (Descendants), Niko Pepaj (“Awkward”), Laura Maria Bilgeri (Toby Goes to Camp), and Hannah Rose May (“Ballers”).
Snipes is playing a character called ‘The Hunter in a scenario that pits five friends, vacationing at a remote lake house, against an alien invasion and mass-abduction.
Interestingly enough, parts of the film will be shot in virtual reality – yup, Snipes will be all around you…
