Wolverine sentenced to Six Years

Hugh Jackman will follow up his scratching exercises – erm, his stint in “X-Men : Days of Future Past” – with “Six Years”, a Paramount drama based on an upcoming book by Harlan Coben.

The Hollywood Reporter, which reveals that a couple of major studios were interested in making the movie before Paramount swept in and snatched the cake, suggests the film will be a bit of a three-tissue jaunt.

The novel centers on Jake Fisher, who watched the love of his life, Natalie, marry another man. Six years have passed when Jake comes across the other man’s obituary. He resolves to attend the funeral, hoping to catch a glimpse of Natalie. But the mourning widow is not Natalie, throwing all of his past memories with the woman into question.

The novel hits bookstores this week.

No writer or director are currently attached to the film adaptation.
