X-Men coming to a TV screen near you!

Though the project is in “the very early stages of development”, it has been confirmed that an “X-Men” TV series is in the works at Fox.

TV Insider first reported that negotiations are underway to get a live-action show, based on the comic books, off the ground.

Of course the comics have already sparked the production and release of eight feature films at Fox’s sister company 20^th Century Fox, the banner which holds the film rights to the franchise. However if Fox is to get the TV series up and running, it needs the all clear from Marvel as the comic itself is owned by the superhero specialists.

If Fox can get Marvel to sign the deal, then the next step would involve finding the creative people to develop a concept for the show. With all this yet to be done, it is unlikely we’d see the show on our screens until the 2016-2017 TV season.
