“The X-Files” have been reopened and Scully and Mulder are back on the case. The show, returning Jan 24, for a 6-episode event has a new sizzle reel in tow – unveiled at the TCA’s today.
Meanwhile, series creator Chris Carter said he’s written a third “X-Files” film – but opted to do something for TV instead.
“I actually wrote a third movie, just because I was interested in the idea of where that might go”, Carter tells The Live Feed. “I let my wife read the third movie, and she said ‘I think not for television.'”
The third movie might still be repurposed for the series – if the studio want it.
“I’m waiting for Fox to come back and ask for more. Then we’ll talk about it.”
