He won’t be in it, but Sylvester Stallone is set to relaunch one of his other famous characters from the Reagan-era.
During a Q&A with Stallone at the Cannes Film Festival this week, the star of September’s “Last Blood” revealed plans to bring ‘Cobra’ to the small screen.
“That should have been another franchise because that character was so cool. And I blew it. My personal life got in the way. But we’re trying to bring it back as a streaming TV series. Bring out the zombie squad. I’m long gone, but the idea is really good.”
The film, released in 1986 and directed by George P.Cosmatos, told of a tough-on-crime street cop must protect the only surviving witness to a strange murderous cult with far reaching plans.
