A fourth G.I. Joe film in development

Paramount Pictures and Hasbro are developing another “G.I. Joe” film, which would be a followup to the upcoming “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins” with Henry Golding in the lead role. The Robert Schwentke directed movie opens on October 23.

A 4th film has Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse tapped to write the script, which has been noted by Variety as a reboot of the current franchise, set 7 years after “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is set to produce the film.

Before “Snake Eyes” and “Retaliation”, “G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra” kicked off the franchise in 2009.
