New Alex Garland Film Alert!
The maestro behind “28 Days Later”, “Sunshine”, “The Beach” and “Ex Machina” will direct “Men”, for A24, based on his own script.
Jessie Buckley (“Fargo”) is in talks to star, with Rory Kinnear (“No Time to Die”) all set.
Per Deadline, the film follows a young woman who goes on a solo vacation to the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband. A24 will finance and distribute.
Hard to believe this will be Garland’s first directing effort in three years – his last being 2018’s “Annihilation”. Fun Fact : Though credited as writer only, it’s widely believed Garland actually directed the cult classic “Dredd” starring Karl Urban.
