An Aliens sequel directed by Neil Blomkamp!?

“Elysium” director Neil Blomkamp was covertly developing a new “Alien” sequel for Sigourney Weaver.

The filmmaker said the project, which he was toying with but has now fallen by the wayside, wasn’t something 20th Century Fox commissioned him to develop.

The project looks amazing – and is that Michael Biehn’s ‘Hicks’!? Seems Blomkamp came up with a way to reverse his ‘off-screen’ death in “Alien 3”.

While Fox was said to be considering ideas for further “Alien” movies a few years back – at one stage Ridley Scott and James Cameron were talking about teaming up for one – I was led to believe spin-off/prequel “Prometheus” had essentially paused everything “Alien” indefinitely. Maybe these images will get Fox reenthused for an “Alien 5”!?
