Andy Muschietti confirms he will direct The Flash movie next

Director of “IT: Chapter Two”, Andy Muschietti, is already focusing on his next project, confirming to Fandango that the solo “Flash” movie is next on his agenda – with a simple “Yup”. Though Muschietti is well known for his entries within the horror genre, the director promises a “horror-free” flick as he enters the world of DC.

“An element if horror? I don’t think so. What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”

Muschietti’s name has been circling the project for quite some time, and his interview cements his involvement in the superhero flick.

Not much is known about the new film at this stage, except that Ezra Miller will be playing the title role – as he did in “Justice League” – but no doubt Muschietti will be head down after the “IT: Chapter Two” hype is well and truly taking a breather.
