Andy Serkis is set to take on his first comic book movie as a director, with the actor-turned-filmmaker to direct “Venom 2”. Ruben Fleischer directed the first flick, which had Tom Hardy as the titular star – who will also return for the sequel.
Kelly Marcel has written the script for “Venom 2”. This will be Serkis’ third film as a director, previously taking on “Breathe” in 2017 and “Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle”.
Perhaps his most famous role is playing the part of Gollum in Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, and Snoke in the most recent “Star Wars” films.
