One of the moms in “Mom” is leaving, with Anna Faris departing the show ahead of its 8th season.
Faris and Warner Bros. TV confirmed the news, with Faris stating:
“The past seven years on ‘Mom’ have been some of the most fulfilling and rewarding of my career. I’m so thankful to [creator] Chuck [Lorre], the writers, and my amazing castmates for creating a truly wonderful work experience.”
Faris played Christy Plunkett, a single mom who struggles with alcoholism. Her mother, Bonnie, is played by Allison Janney.
Faris said she is leaving to pursue other opportunities, so the show will continue without her.
