Anne Hathway, Julie Andrews set for The Princess Diaries 3

15 years since Princess Queen Mia Thermopolis discovered love with a future Captain Kirk (Chris Pine played the love-interest), Anne Hathaway has announced that the long-awaited second sequel to Disney fave “The Princess Diaries” is closer to becoming a reality.

The 36-year-old actress, who got her big break playing the frumpy Mia in the Garry Marshall directed comedy, appeared on on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, confirming that a script for a third film exists.

“I wanna do it, Julie [Andrews] wants to do it, Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it,” she confirmed. “We all really want it to happen, it’s just we don’t want to do it unless it’s perfect because we love it just as much as you guys love it.”

“It’s as important to us as it is to you, and we don’t want to deliver anything unless it’s ready. But we’re working on it,” she said.

Question now is, will Pine be back as Nicholas Devereaux?
