Seemingly very confident they have a winner on their hands in 2022’s “The Batman”, Warner have greenlit yet another TV spin-off of the Matt Reeves-directed superhero blockbuster.
Following plans to do a show about the Gotham Police Department, Warner has in early development a series centered on the villainous the Penguin in early development for their HBO Max platform. Reeves and Dylan Clark, who directed and produced the film, respectively, will executive produce the series.
Colin Farrell in “The Batman”Colin Farrell plays the Penguin in the movie; no word if he’ll reprise his role for the series.
Lauren LeFranc will script the series, which according to THR, “would focus on Cobblepot’s rise through the Gotham City underworld.”
