Armie Hammer, Jake Gyllenhaal tipped for next Batman

Following this week’s unsurprising revelation that Ben Affleck won’t be reprising his role as Batty Bruce for Matt Reeves’ long-simmering “The Batman”, every human and their NBN connection have been quick to speculate who might inherit the keys to Vicky Vale’s chastity belt.

According to Variety, Reeves is definitely looking for a younger name for the movie – likely so Warners has an actor they can use for years to come (or until the actor is forced to start headlining “Justice League”-like poop).  Casting are hunting for someone in a very specific age-range, apparently.

Bookies have Jake Gyllenhaal, who has long been a favorite to take over Wayne Manor, and Armie Hammer, who was actually cast (!) as Batman in George Miller’s abandoned “Justice League Mortal” many years ago, as the favourites to wear the cowl next.

Also on that same list are the similar-aged Michael B.Jordan, Ben Barnes and John Krasinski.
