Joe Manganiello is set to star as dubious superhero Max Fist in the epic action-adventure “Archenemy” , written and directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer and produced by Elijah Wood’s SpectreVision banner.
Voltage Pictures are stumping the flick at AFM, the tale of Max Fist, who claims to be a hero from another dimension who fell through time and space to earth, where he has no powers. No one believes his stories except for a local teen named Hamster. Together, they take to the streets to wipe out the local drug syndicate and its vicious crime boss known as The Manager.
The film marks a sweet consolation prize for Manganiello, whose plans to play DC villain Deathstroke stalled after the failure of “Justice League”, in which he made his first appearance in the role, in 2017.
