“Gotham” is tossing in everything but the kitchen sink for its final season.
The producers of the Fox series confirmed at New York Comic Con on Sunday that there’ll be some surprises in the remaining 10 episodes.
Cameron Monaghan’s Jeremiah gets a girlfriend – yep, you know who!.
“[He] has a somewhat deranged girlfriend, who dresses in a multi-colored fashion,” showrunner John Stephens said. “I wouldn’t describe it as a healthy relationship … she likes roller skates.”
In addition, we’ll see Bane, played by Shane West. Unlike the version seen in Chris Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises”, this is “before he became Bane. And we tied it to Jim’s backstory,” Stephens said. “Clearly it’s different than canon.”
As opposed to hurting Bruce Wayne, this Bane will also damage Alfred.
“We have an altercation,” Sean Pertwee (Alfred) said of the butler’s throwdown with West’s rogue. “I get my back broken.”
The most exciting part of the final season?
“The series finale takes place ten years in the future.”
In other words, expect an appearance from a certain cast member in a cape!
