Batman’s Scarecrow joins A Quiet Place sequel

Cillian Murphy (“The Dark Knight”, “Peaky Blinders”, “Dunkirk”) will star alongside Emily Blunt in director John Krasinski’s follow-up to “A Quiet Place”.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy will co-star alongside Blunt and kid stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe in a sequel scripted by Krasinski, who is also back in the director’s chair for the horror film.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the trade says “Murphy will play a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit.”

Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Michael Bay are producing the film, which shoots this summer.

Paramount has skedded the sequel for a May 15, 2020 release.
