Ben Stiller directing himself as Walter Mitty

Back in April, it was announced that Ben Stiller would star in a remake of the 1947 film, ”The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”.

Now Variety is reporting that Stiller will also direct the flick. The original 1947 comedy starred Danny Kaye, which itself was originally based on a short story by James Thurber.

Thurber’s story is centered around a day-dreaming book editor who can’t seem to do anything right, so he imagines all sorts exciting lives for himself. The 1947 pic was described as a loose adaptation.

So… can Stiller handle this, ya think?
