Beverly Hills, 90210 series reboot potentially on the cards

So last year I sat down with actor Brian Austin Green in Hollywood, and we talked about the possibility of a “Beverly Hills, 90210” reboot. In response to the question, he noted:

“I totally would if the script was interesting, if it was really well thought out. I don’t want to do one just to do it. I don’t wanna do another show if everyone is just doing it for no reason… give me a real good reason why these characters reunite that makes sense, I’d totally do it. I’d love to see everyone and hook up for the fans especially. I feel like if you make something that’s really fun to watch, then there’s a reason for it; if it’s not fun to watch, fuck it, don’t do it.”

And now, a year later, it seems like an interesting script may have presented itself as Green and a number of original cast members have been spotted around town, reportedly pitching the idea of a reboot to the 1990s classic teen drama.

Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Green and Gabrielle Carteris were papped by TMZ, and sources are telling Deadline that the reboot is being pitched to multiple networks and streaming services – with a number of interested parties already.

Notably missing from the photos are Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry, so where they stand on the whole reboot thing remains to be seen.

According to Deadline, the reboot features the actors reprising their characters two decades later but is not a traditional reboot.

Multiple spinoffs and reprisals have been done in the past, but nothing with this many of the originals.

Regardless of what happens, I’d like to reaffirm that Moviehole addressed this reboot long before the paps were lurking!
