BH90210 to feature authentic 90210 episode in season 2?

Even though the initial order was only for six, the cast of FOX’s “BH90210” are hopeful that network brass will commission more.

At today’s TCA presentation, cast and crew of the ‘reboot’ – EP’s Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler as well as stars and EPSs Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, and Ian Ziering – confirmed interest in doing further seasons of the series.

“We would love to continue to work together,” said Spelling, who with Garth created the new series. “It’s been such an amazing experience. I liken it to high school when you think oh you never get a chance to do a do-over and there are things that you know now that you didn’t know then that you would’ve done differently and we get that opportunity… We have so many stories to tell that this could keep going season after season so we hope it does.”

Ian Ziering, who like his castmates plays an over-the-tip version of himself on the Wednesday night series, hinted that we might see a more traditionally authentic episode down the line – one that would see the actors play their alter-egos.

“You might see an authentic episode … but right now, it’s all about the journey of us coming together,” he said, teasing plans for a second season.
