The much-anticipated sequel to “IT” is looking even better, with word that James McAvoy and Bill Hader are in talks to join the cast as Bill and Richie, respectively.
Bill was played by Jaeden Lieberher in the first flick, and Finn Wolfhard played Richie – with both characters having key parts in the adult-half of the novel. The adult Beverly has already been cast as Jessica Chastain (played by Sophia Lillis in the first film).
Director Andy Muschietti is back to direct, with Gary Dauberman writing the script. Though it hasn’t been officially announced, it’s expected that Bill Skarsgard will return as the creepy clown Pennywise.
Pennywise will take on the adult contingent of the Losers’ Club September 6, 2019.
