UPDATE! : According to Birth.Movies.Death, Murray is playing a character called Martin Heiss. Heiss is a “professional supernatural debunker, a sort of an Amazing Randi type, who shows up and ‘proves’ the new Ghostbusters are fakes. It’s a really tiny role, and it’s sort of the mirror image of where we meet Peter Venkman at the start of Ghostbusters II.”
Bill Murray will appear in Sony’s upcoming “Ghostbusters” film.
Murray follows Dan Aykroyd onto the set – Aykroyd last week revealed he shot a scene for the film with star Kristen Wiig.
We don’t have any details on Murray’s role yet.
Paul Feig directs the reboot starring Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones with Chris Hemsworth, Michael K. Williams and Neil Casey.
“Ghostbusters” will open on July 22, 2016.
