In more casting news to come from Cannes, Blake Lively is set to buff up for action drama film “Bruised”. It’s not just a change of pace for the blonde bombshell, but also for director Nick Cassavetes whose other credits include “The Notebook” and “The Other Woman”.
The flick will see Lively play a former MMA fighter and single mother working two jobs, who has to get back in the cage in order to keep her son. Lively was last seen fighting off giant shark so this one should be a walk in the park for her.
According to THR, production is slated for September.
