Bond 25 sees 007 out to rescue a kidnapped scientist

Hot on the heels of the could’ve-used-more-sugar Bond 25 announcement today, MGM and EON issued a pressed release that rehashes the details of the uneventful live cross. What the release does include though, that the live event didn’t, is some plot details about the April, 2020 release.

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The untitled feature, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, and Jeffrey Wright with franchise newcomers Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.

The film will be released internationally April 3, 2020 and a week later, April 8, 2020, in the US.
