The long-rumoured “Breaking Bad” movie is set after the events of the critically acclaimed AMC series and will stream on Netflix before it airs on AMC, Variety confirmed today.
The film will feature Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman but plot details are still being kept under wraps. Though he has confirmed the film was happening, Bryan Cranston – who played Walter White in the series – hasn’t revealed whether he’s involved.
Original series creator Vince Gilligan is writing and directing the project.
A project called “Greenbrier”, believed to be the “Breaking Bad” movie, has been scheduled to shoot in Albuquerque from November to mid-February, According to the New Mexico Film Office, it tracks the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.” Fans of the series will recall that Pinkman was kidnapped by a gang of neo-Nazis and forced to continue cooking meth for them until he escaped with the aid of Walter White.
