Fresh from reshoots on the film, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” director Sam Raimi says he’s not sure whether the film is now ‘done’. “I wish I knew the answer to that question. I think we’re done, but we just cut everything. We’re just starting to test the picture and we’ll find out if there’s anything that’s got to be picked up. If something’s unclear or another improvement I can make in this short amount of time left, I’ll do it. One thing I know about the Marvel team is they won’t stop. Peacock announced today the straight-to-series order of supernatural drama series ”DEAD DAY”, based on the bestselling ”AfterShock” comic-book series created by Ryan Parrott, from producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson. Series follows an ensemble of characters as they navigate the annual “dead day,” when for one night the dead come back to complete unfinished business — be that to celebrate a night back on earth or to torment the living. · Plec and Williamson are reuniting after their last collaboration creating the long-running, fan-favorite hit TV series ”The Vampire Diaries”.

 

SHOWTIME has released the official trailer for SUPER PUMPED: THE BATTLE FOR UBER, the first installment of a new anthology series, which is set to premiere on Sunday, February 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Emmy(R) winner Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Trial of the Chicago 7), Emmy winner Kyle Chandler (Bloodline, Friday Night Lights) and Oscar(R) and Emmy nominee Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction), the first season is based on Mike Isaac’s bestselling book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber. Brian Koppelman and David Levien (BILLIONS, Rounders) and Beth Schacter (Soundtrack) executive produce, write and serve as showrunners on the series.

During a fab roundtable interview with “Spider-Man : No Way Home” co-stars Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire spoke about that first top-secret meeting he had with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal about reprising his Raimi-era Spidey.

“In that conversation, the intention, the kind of love and celebration of these movies and what it meant, I think, to Amy and Kevin was apparent, and to me, when artists or, you know, people who are steering the creative process have a kind of authentic, genuine intent of celebration and love, it just was so apparent in both of them, that, I don’t know, I just wanted to join that. And I’m a big fan of Tom and those movies and Andrew. So, it was definitely intriguing, but yes, I was also going, ‘well, what are we going to do? And that was a bit mysterious.”

“I did appreciate what was shared, but, it was really about getting together with these people and revisiting what was part of my history and getting a chance to come together. There are personal things too, which are kind of resolutions or a way to revisit and – I’m not quite sure how to put it, just to get back into that and, I don’t want to say like close the chapter, but revisit and have certain resolutions and just join in this loving creative spirit”.
