Caffeinated Clint vs. Child Molester Collins

In “fuck, your screwed fella” news… actor Stephen Collins, best known for preaching goodness into our lounge rooms every week via the once-seemingly mortal “7Th Heaven”, has been outed as an alleged child molester.

Collins, also familiar to “Star Trek” fans for his role in “Star Trek : The Motion Picture”, was allegedly (even if the proof if there, you still have to run with that – I know, sucks!) heard on tape confessing to molesting to taking advantage of underage girls. He had confessed to his wife first, who then ordered him to seek therapy (aka “god damn help, dude!”).

The tape was recorded by Collins’ missus Faye Grant – with whom he’s currently embroiled in a nasty, prolonged divorce – and rightly so; in California, you’re allowed to record someone’s conversation if it serves as evidence that someone committed a felony – and by shit, fondling underage girls is definitely one. Fucker.

An investigation is underway.

Meanwhile Collins’ career slowly comes apart like a fat guy’s zipper in skinny jeans – just today it was reported he’d been dumped from “Ted 2”. Pot-smoking, foul mouthed Teddy Bear won’t be doing any favours for wicked TV priests it seems.

You can feel sorry for Collins, his career in-front of the camera is likely over (until someone who gives him another shot in his twilight years), but before you do… have a think about the young girls he’s allegedly taken advantage of. They’re been suffering far longer than he has… and will continue to do so.

I actually enjoyed Collins’ work – wasn’t an avid “7Th Heaven” fan, but remember his good work in Brewster’s Millions”, “All the President’s Men”, “Blood Diamond”, “The First Wives Club” and other films. Shame he had to go and smear that IMDB page of his.

This is a subject that hits very home to me – if you couldn’t already tell. I’m not going into my story, nor should I, but I will say child abuse is never on, never acceptable, and never (this is important to remember) the victim’s fault. Much love to those girls.
