Cage set for cop killer actioner 10 Double Zero

Nicolas Cage will star in “10 Double Zero” a new Louisiana-set action-thriller from director Christian Sesma.

Sesma, Paul Sloan and Nick Vallelonga wrote the script for the film, which gets underway in July.

Here’s a previously released logline for the flick : DET. DAMON REEVES is infamous for crossing the line when he has to. After several fellow officers are killed in a brazen public shootout with bank robbers, Reeves and his partner, DET. ANTHONY LAVEAU, set out on a personal vendetta to hunt down the cop killers. As they get closer to solving the crime, they soon find themselves the targets of a conspiracy in the ranks of the police force as the investigation leads right back to them.

Vallelonga, also producing here, is hot off the success for “Green Book”, which he wrote and produced.

Sloan, an actor who has appeared in the likes of “I Am Wrath” and “The Vigilante Diaries”, is also expected to play a role in the film.

If I recall correctly, the script was originally set in Vegas but seems to have been ported to Louisiana.
