Brie Larson, seen in the title role in this week’s “Captain Marvel”, has signed to star in and produce a new untitled CIA drama fro Apple.
The series, which has picked up the project straight to series following a multiple-outlet bidding war, is based on the real-life experiences of CIA undercover operative and her upcoming memoir ‘Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA’.
The Hollywood Reporter says the series has been described as “a provocative and contemporary look at a young woman’s journey in the CIA, told through the prism of her closest relationships.”
For Oscar winner Larson (“Room”), the Apple series marks a return to her TV roots – she previously starred on Showtime’s Diablo Cody dramedy ”United States of Tara” and the WB Network comedy ”Raising Dad”.
