A mini-“The Office” reunion is locked with Steve Carell signing on to join former co-star John Krasinski in the “Quiet Place” filmmaker’s next directing gig.
“IF”, set up at Paramount, is said to be based on Krasinki’s “original idea about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination”, says Deadline.
Alan Kim, Cailey Fleming and Louis Gossett Jr. also are on board, joining Ryan Reynolds and Krasinski, who will star in the pic. Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fiona Shaw are also on board.
Krasinski, who last directed “A Quiet Place Part II”, writes, directs, produces and stars in the film.
The film is set to bow on November 17, 2023.
