Cast of New Years Eve disaster comedy from Kyle Mooney announced

The A24 produced/financed/distributed film is set on New Years Eve 1999

Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), Julian Dennison (Spider-Man : Homecoming) and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) are just a few names aboard actor turned filmmaker Kyle Mooney’s directorial debut Y2K.

The dial-up disaster comedy also has Jaeden Martell (It), Lachlan Watson (”Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Mason Gooding (Scream VI), 5x Billboard Music Award-winner The Kid Laroi, Tim Heidecker (Us), Eduardo Franco (”Stranger Things”), Miles Robbins (Blockers), Fred Hechinger (”Fear Street” Trilogy) and Daniel Zolghadri (Funny Pages) on the cast list. The pic, which A24 will finance and distribute, is set on New Year’s Eve 1999, two high school nobodies (Martell, Dennison) decide to crash the last big party before the new millennium. When the clock strikes midnight, the night gets more insane than they ever could have imagined.

Winter, Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin and Jonah Hill (Mid90s) of Strong Baby, and The Bear creator Christopher Storer produce alongside A24 while WETA have been enlisted to do the film’s design and practical effects.
