O-T Fagbenle (”The Handmaid’s Tale”, ”Breaking and Entering”) has joined the cast of Marvel’s “Black Widow”. Although deets on who the actor is playing haven’t been released, That Hashtag Show recently reported that director Cate Shortland was looking for a “black British actor” to play the main bad guy in the film, so there’s a possibility this might be him. “Terminator : Dark Fate” star Mackenzie Davis will play a political consultant in the new Jon Stewart comedy “Irresistible”. Also starring Topher Grace, Steve Carell, Chris Cooper and Rose Byrne, the Focus Features release is the story of a Democratic political consultant (Carell) who helps a retired ex-Marine colonel (Cooper) run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town. Winona Ryder, John Turturro, Anthony Boyle, Zoe Kazan, Morgan Spector, Caleb Malis, and Azhy Robertson will lead the ensemble cast of HBO’s miniseries “Plot Against America” from David Simon. Ken Jeong and Kiersey Clemons have joined the animated Scooby-Doo movie ”Scoob” from director Tony Cervone. Jeong will voice Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, a robot dog with mechanical robotic parts while Clemons will voice Dee Dee Skyes, who was one of Captain Caveman’s “Teen Angels” and the smartest one of the group, much like Velma in the Mystery Inc. gang. The duo join a cast that includes Zac Efron (Fred), Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman), and Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo). [More…]
