Prospective Oscar Nominee Elizabeth Olsen will join Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan and Jack Huston in the intriguing new thriller. Showblitz says the pic tells of “how a murder at Columbia University in 1944 brought together the young writers who would spark the Beat Revolution”. Olsen is Edie Parker, the wealthy art-student girlfriend of Jack Kerouac (Huston). Radcliffe will play Allen Ginsberg and Dehaan plays Lucien Carr, a classmate of Ginsberg’s for Ediewhom the young poet develops feelings. The directed film begins its shoot at Columbia University in New York on March 22.

Jena Malone (“Donnie Darko”) will star in Noah Buschel’s bio on Maura O’Halloran, who at the age of 24 left her waitress job in Boston to go to Japan and be a Zen Monk. She died in a car accident age 27.

“Enders Game”

Brendan Meyer, who for the last year or so has played Adam Young on the TV series “Mr. Young”, will play Stilson in writer/director Gavin Hood’s science-fiction epic. Harrison Ford, Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld and Asa Buttefield are already set.

“Twin Peaks” reunion alert! Dana Ashbrook (‘Bobby’) and Ray Wise (‘Leland’) both feature in director Steven C.Miller’s thriller about a group of teens who take on some heavily-armed hitmen over some loot. The film, shot in Rochester, New York, is now in post.

Kurt Russell has been offered the role of the lieutenant on the case in writer/director Matthew Berry’s true-tale thriller about the 1991 Hostage Drama where 4 Vietnamese immigrants held 39 people hostage inside the Good Guys electronics store in Sacramento, CA.
