A round-up of who’s doing what with whom

Chris Pratt and Sam Richardson, two of the stars of “The Tomorrow War”, are reteaming for a new action-comedy at Universal Pics.

According to THR, “Stranded Asset” will be written by Jen D’Angelo and Richardson, with Pratt producing.

Logline details are being kept under lock and key.

“Falcon and the Winter Soldier” star Anthony Mackie will star in a new series based on the “Twisted Metal” vehicular combat games. The series, set up at Sony Pictures Television, is based on an original take by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers behind the “Deadpool” films and “Zombieland.”

The show, says Variety, “is about motor-mouthed outsider John Doe (Mackie) who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown named who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck, whom fans of the game will know as Sweet Tooth.”

“Game of Thrones” alum Gwendoline Christie has been cast in Tim Burton’s “Wednesday” series. Based on the classic TV and film “The Addams Family”, the series will feature Christie as Larissa Weems, “the principal of Nevermore Academy who still has an axe to grind with her former classmate Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones)”, per THR.

Jenna Ortega plays the title role in the Netflix series, which Burton will direct and executive produce.
