Alicia Vikander (“Tomb Raider”) and Riley Keough (“Logan Lucky”) are circling Netflix and Scott Free’s “The Earthquake Bird” for Wash Westmoreland. Based on the novel of the same name, the female-driven noir thriller that tells the story of young female expat who is suspected of murder after her friend goes missing in the wake of a tumultuous love triangle with a handsome local photographer. The project originally took root at Amazon Studios, but Netflix will make the picture and has set a May production start in Tokyo and Sado Island.

Jerry O’Connell is set to play Sheldon’s brother on CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory”.

Joel Edgerton will star opposite “Call Me by Your Name’s” Timothee Chalamet in Netflix’s “The King.” Aussie director David Michod will direct the film, based on a script he co-wrote with Edgerton, and produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B. Based on Shakespeare’s plays “Henry IV” and “Henry V,” Chalamet portrays in the pic a young, disgraced prince who inherits the crown and must learn what it means to be a king, guided by his one true friend, Falstaff (Edgerton).

Stephen Hill (”Law & Order: SVU”) is onboard CBS’ “Magnum P.I.” pilot from Peter Lenkov, Davis Entertainment, CBS TV Studios and Universal TV Studios. Hill will play Theodore ‘TC’ Calvin. A former Marine Corps chopper pilot, TC runs Island Hoppers, the smallest but best helicopter tour business in Hawaii. TC is one of Magnum’s group of loyal friends who bonded when they were all POWs in Iraq.
