Comedy actors Charlie Sheen and Whoopi Goldberg are set to star in an independent action drama about the events of Nine Eleven.
Luis Guzman, Wood Harris and Olga Fonda have also been cast.
Aptly titled “Nine Eleven”, the film centres on five people trapped in an elevator in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Production kicks off today at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California, with Martin Guigui directing from script he co-wrote with Steven Golebiowski.
Variety first reported the news of the, uh, unpredictable casting move.
