Charlie’s Angels reboot sees Kristen Stewart in the lead

Elizabeth Banks, director of the upcoming “Charlie’s Angels” reboot, has revealed her three leading ladies, with “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart leading the charge. Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska form the rest of the trio.

Scott is set to play Princess Jasmine in the upcoming Disney live-action film “Aladdin”, and Balinska is best known for her work in “Midsomer Murders”, the British TV series.

Banks is not only writing, directing and producing the upcoming reboot, but will also star as the female Bosley, who you may remember was played by Bill Murray in the former movies.

“Charlie’s Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the ‘70s,” Banks said in a statement. “This film honours the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world.”

The film is set for theatres September 27, 2019.
