Charlotte Vega starring in remake of ’90s horror fave

The recently-announced “Wrong Turn” reboot has pegged Spanish born actress and model Charlotte Vega to star.

Directed by Mike P.Nelson, and scripted by original “Wrong Turn” scribe Alan B.McElroy, the film is being repped at Cannes by Mister Smith Entertainment – who also handled “Teen Spirit” with Elle Fanning, and family film “A Dog’s Purpose”.

The new take on the cult horror franchise sees Vega (“The Lodgers”, “American Assassin”) and her New York-based friends take a hiking trip to the beautiful West Virginia mountains where they unwittingly fall prey to a savage sect known as The Foundation.

Robert Kulzer and James Harris produce the film.
