Suggesting the oft-mooted sequel might actually come to fruition, a nifty concept reel for “The Last Starfighters” – “Rogue One” writer Gary Whitta and the film’s original scribe Jonathan Betuel are developing – has hit the web.
Universal have to make the call, obviously, but I don’t see why they’d want to pass up an opportunity to not only tap into an existing lucrative hardcore fanbase and set up their next big sci-fi film franchise.
