“IT” star Sophia Lillis is starring in the new flick “Gretel & Hansel” – a bold and horrifying vision of the classic tale.
The trailer for the film is arriving next week, but in the meantime we’ve been treated with a spooky new image from the film, featuring Lillis.
Also starring in the movie is Sammy Leakey, Charles Babalola, Alice Krige and Jessica De Gouw. Director Osgood Perkins is working from a script by Rob Hayes.
A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl (Lillis) leads her little brother (Leakey) into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.
“Gretel & Hansel” arrives in theatres January 31, 2020.
