Tom Hardy will be playing crime boss Al Capone in the upcoming flick “Fonzo”, and has revealed some first look pictures of himself in the role on his Instagram.
The American mobster has been portrayed by a number of actors in the past, notably Robert De Niro in “Untouchables” in 1987.
Hardy posted the below pics on Instagram, including of a close up of his face – Capone was nicknamed “Scarface” after sustaining knife wounds to his face.
“Fonzo”, directed by Josh Trank, will also star Matt Dillon, Kyle MacLachlan, Kathrine Narducci and Linda Cardellini. No release date has been revealed thus far.
