Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan tease Rush Hour 4!

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker may be – at long last – reuniting for a fourth “Rush Hour”.

Tucker hinted that the long-gestating action-comedy sequel might finally be inching forward via an Instagram post on Sunday.  Chan and Tucker, pictured at the former’s 65th birthday party, held four fingers up to suggest “Rush Hour 4” was finally a go.

The last “Rush Hour” sequel, “Rush Hour 3” was released in 2007.

In January, while speaking on the Winging It podcast with Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore, Tucker explained that the film isn’t in pre-production but it something that his co-star and New Line Cinema had expressed interest in.

‘It’s not in pre-production,’ he explained. ‘We’re working on a few things [for] the script. Jackie wants to do it. I want to do it. The studio wants to do it.’

‘We’re trying to get it together. It looks like it’s getting together right,’ he added.

Brett Ratner, who directed the first three films, is unlikely to return for the new film considering his recent legal troubles.
