  • Dark Horizons reports Ridley Scott is apparently considering Charlie Chaplin’s grand-daughter Kiera Chaplin for a major role in his Crusades epic “Kingdom of Heaven”.

  • Aint it Cool has received a detailed description of the upcoming “Spider-Man 2” teaser trailer here. It’s starting to sound fun. The trailer hits December 17th.

  • Donald Sutherland [“Klute”] has joined the cast of “Ask the Dust”, starring Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek, according to Univision.

  • The Los Angeles County coroner ruled the death of former “SeaQuest DSV” star Jonathan Brandis a suicide, says SciFi Wire.

  • The first “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie is being re-issued in London over Xmas. Apparently the studio wants to see if there’s interest out there, before they greenlight a rumoured fourth live-action film, which they’re eyeing for next Christmas.

  • The first pic from the Tom Hanks starring remake of “The Ladykillers” is online here

  • Vivica A.Fox [“Kill Bill”] is out to let producers know that she’d like to play singer Whitney Houston in a biopic of the artist’s life.

  • John Corbett will play a hotel managher in untitled hotel drama pilot. Also cast in the pilot are Michael Rispoli, Jenny Wade, Laura Jordan and Sara Ramirez. Set in a luxury hotel in the Bahamas, the show revolves around the interactions among guests and hotel staffers.

  • Josh Brolin [“The Goonies”] has joined the cast of director John Stockwell’s “Into the Blue” for MGM and Mandalay Pictures.

  • Gary Foster is developing a motion picture about Hawaiian political activist George Helm Jr called, “The George Helm Jr. Story”.

  • Bloody Disgusting reports that there will be 20 deleted scenes on the forthcoming “Freddy vs. Jason” DVD.
