Amazon has announced the official release date of “Coming 2 America”, the Eddie Murphy-starring comedy they recently acquired from Paramount Pictures.
The Craig Brewer-directed sequel was originally due for release next month in theaters but seeing as most theaters are still closed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the studio opted to sell the film off to a streamer.
Amazon announced today that the film, which also stars Arsenio Hall and Wesley Snipes, will hit March 5, 2021.
The movie, which sees Prince Akeem (Murphy) returning to America to meet his illegitimate son, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 markets.
